This is my story
I get it.
I didn’t always know this would be the work I’d do.
But I always knew I was meant to do work that mattered.
I’ve been where you’ve been. My journey started in the classroom, then led me into the corporate world – graphics, marketing, sales – where I learned how to communicate, how to lead, and how to thrive in high-performance environments. It all looked good on paper.
But it didn’t feel like mine.
So I took a leap – long before entrepreneurship was a buzzword, before home offices were a thing, and before online business was mainstream. I launched my first company during a time when people still said, “Wait… you work from home? And entrepreneurship was just a word in the dictionary people had to look up. It wasn’t cool to be an entrepreneur.
That business grew quickly. We created custom marketing materials – packaging, presentations, and media kits – for some of the biggest names in the pharma and corporate world. But then the internet changed everything.
Where others saw disruption, I saw opportunity. (Although candidly that took a while to see in 2008!)
While the world pivoted, I swiveled – letting both feet move so I could step fully into the next version of my work. I dove into digital strategy, website design, and marketing – not just the tools, but the thinking behind what truly moves people to connect and buy.
And that’s where the real story begins
How I discovered my real work
I own a successful website design agency that helps small businesses build clear, client-focused websites. But over time, something deeper called me forward.
As I worked with my clients – refining their messaging, clarifying their offers, and helping them show up online – I kept hearing something that stopped me in my tracks.
Guilt.
Not guilt over failing.
Guilt over succeeding – at the cost of the life they’d worked so hard to earn.
They told me they were growing… but missing time with grandkids.
Crushing their goals… but feeling disconnected from their partner.
Hitting milestones… but too exhausted to enjoy the freedom they thought was coming.
That’s when I knew:
They didn’t just need a better website.
They needed a business that fit their life – this life.
So I began creating something new.
My work today
I help midlife entrepreneurs – what I lovingly call the Typewriter Generation – build businesses that are aligned, profitable, and rooted in what matters most at this stage of life.
We focus on simplifying the client journey, clarifying what’s working, releasing what’s not, and crafting strategies that actually feel good to implement. No icky funnels. No “shoulds.” No pressure to keep up with people half your age who were born with a smartphone in their hand.
This isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about reclaiming your business and your time.
I bring decades of experience in marketing, messaging, and strategy – and a deep respect for what it takes to evolve, grow, and lead in this season of life. And yes, I still build beautiful, high-performing websites through my agency. But the real magic happens when we align your message, your model, and your mindset.
That’s where momentum is born.
And the Podcast? that was inevitable.
The Encore Entrepreneur Podcast is where I speak directly to the business owners of the Typewriter Generation – those of us building legacy, not just revenue.
Each week, I share one actionable, insight-packed episode focused on simplifying your marketing, refining your message, and growing a business that fits your life now. No hype. No fluff. Just real talk for real entrepreneurs in midlife.
You can listen wherever you get your podcasts.
